yeaaaaah, so today me and lewis were in foundation printed these bags to sell at the zine symposium... so when you buy heeps of zines from the camberwell table you wont get papercuts from holding them in your hands...
theres two colour ways, one brighter red, and one burgandy...
there going to be £2.50 i think, so farely reasonable...

The more i find out about this woman the more interesting and ground breaking i realise she actually was. What a genius. Im well shit at science, so i drew her a bit instead, check the sketchbook scans above...im working to a colour scheme, practising for my animation which i started today, hopefully i havent left it too late, i guess we will see. im also pretty stoked on the type ive been doing, im definatly gona do more. I will be posting a few still clips from the animation over the next few weeks, but dont expect too many blog posts.

Another thing i have on the horizon is a marie curie two colour risograph printed poster/zine combo thingy for the london zine emposium. its going to be well good. There will also be a new series of stuhlgang posters for the event... keep your eyes/nose/lips poised and peeled.

so we have been given 2 days to develop the drawings of our daily 'needs' into some rough designs for a costume. Above we have a few of my scribble developmental shit..one more accomplished drawing... and a mock up paper cut out thing. Not sure if i will be able to make this a physical object as of yet... fingers crossed i get some useful feedback tomorrow during the crit. peace!

so, the initial stages of this project is too draw things essential to your survival. I have basically ran out of sketchbooks, so i made a book were all the pages are different colours, primarily because i rarely use colour. As you can see i am back up to my old tricks drawing lovely young ladies with there vagina's out... speaking of which i found this the other day

and I'm really stoked on it... i am definitely going to start getting into embroidery in a big way again soon. Possibly via the medium of animation.

My practice utilises textiles and crafts as mediums traditionally associated with women, juxtaposing traditional feminine connotations with controversial imagery in order to question people's expectations. My work challenges conventional stereotypes of both gender and medium. The fascination with voyeurism and people's private lives, through the internet, reality television and other other media is of specific interest to me. I am interested in forcing the viewer into a situation whereby they become the voyeur.

Naturally i progressed from machine embroidery to hand embroidery. I am relatively pleased with the outcomes so far using thick thread. However, i have began work on a few more intricate pieces using much finer thread, there is a sneaky preview at top of this post!
